Looking to
current scenario of technological revolution in the Indian
Industries, in depth study of the Computer Integrated
Manufacturing (CIM) is an important aspect. The current day
manufacturing is facing a number of challenges, which
require a different type of design and manufacturing
solutions than can be done with conventional manufacturing
methods. Hence, concurrent design aspect can be achieved in
less time by using various CAD/CAM tools only. Moreover,
many factors require that flexibility in manufacturing
operations become a vital element in the survival of the
globalised economy. The enterprises should be flexible
enough to cater to the changing requirements of the market.
Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) provide a system to fit
into such difficult manufacturing situations.

HYDRAULIC MACHINES AND TURBO MACHINARY LABORATORY
Fluid
machines have vast field of application like power
generation, pumping of fluid in industries, irrigation and
drinking purpose also they are used in various machine
tools. In our laboratories we have several test rigs to have
performance analysis of fluid machines, which can be
compared with theory studied. Also we have equipments like
open circuit and cascade wind tunnel to study performance of
blade profile and cascade. The experiments being conducted
in these laboratories are performance characteristic of
various turbines and pumps, comparison of potential and real
flow around cylinder, blade profile and cascade performance,
performance of axial flow fan and blower.
FLUID MECHANICS LABORATORY
Basic concept of fluids and fluid are
essential in all engineering disciplines to get better
understanding. Student should know through various
experiments how experimental results are accurate compared
to theoretical values and to find out reasons for deviation
if any. In our laboratory we have equipments like
Bernoulli’s theorem apparatus, notch apparatus, venture
meter, orifice meter, losses through pipes and met centric
height of ship model. |

A well furnished FPC laboratory at ADIT enables the students
to design some basic Circuits which are commonly used in day
to day life and will enhance knowledge for future
innovations. Theoretical concepts learned in the class work
are used to prepare various circuits in HUDRAULICS and
PNEUMATICS with that student should get some real idea
regarding the power transmission and automation. This lab
consists eight perpetual license of simulation software
(FLUID SIM HYDRAULIC and FLUID SIM PNUAMITIC) which are
sourced Germany
based company FESTO. To assist the students in self-making
circuits using the software and simulation tools, high end
computing facilities are provided. A snap shot of some of

Material science is a stepping stone for all the engineers

part of mechanical engineers' curriculum. ADIT offers a well

certain deformations are more common than others; the most
likely (easiest to excite) motions will occur at certain
natural frequencies. Certain exciting or forcing frequencies
may coincide with the natural frequencies (resonance) and
give relatively severe vibration responses. ADIT vibration
lab offers a unique opportunity to the students to learn
basics on theory of machine and vibrations, identifying and
analyzing the causes and simulating the situations which can

development of a state-of-the-art workshop facility. ADIT
workshop is fully equipped to cater the needs of various
courses related to production and mechanical engineering,
student projects and industry consultancy work. A snap shot

milling, radial drill, sloter, shaper etc.
