SAE STUDENT CHAPTER OF ADIT INAUGURATION

INAUGURATION PROGRAMME:

The inauguration of Gujarat Chapter of SOCIETY OF AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERS (SAE) the international body was held at Gujarat’s Pioneer automobile engineering institute, A.D. PATEL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (A.D.I.T.), New Vallabh Vidya Nagar - Anand, on Saturday the 3rd of February 2007.

It’s a matter of pride for A.D.I.T. to inaugurate the chapter of international institution like SAE.  This initiative by ADIT will help the students of Gujarat getting linked to the SAE India & SAE International as well as all the major Automobile manufacturing companies and Automobile Ancillary Units in India and abroad.

Prof. V. Kumar of Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune delivered a lecture on “The Current Scenario of Automobiles and The Future of Booming Market of Automobiles in India & World” at the Inaugural function.  

Prof. S.C. Chaniwala – HOD Mech. Engineering, SVNIT, Surat, was the guest of honor.

Dr. R. K. Jain, Principal A.D.I.T., declared the plans to organize National level competition of International standards for the students, for various categories of Design and Testing of latest features of and complete vehicle. 

Professor Sudhir Gupte, HOD Automobile Dept., A.D.I.T., was confident about his students and said “The Automobile Manufacturing companies as well as Auto Ancillary Industries will need many more Automobile Engineers, also sales and service of Automobiles for Self Employment as well as job opportunities will be generated”.

According to honorable Prime minister's automotive mission plan, when the automobile sector in India would touch the scorching investment of $40 billion, the budding engineers of Gujarat would get a platform to showcase their intellect and know about innovations in automobile field.  Since the investment boom in Automobile Industry has begun in India, activities of this Chapter will help Gujarat in creating professional manpower Infrastructure to meet the growing demand. 

Amongst the technical colleges of Gujarat, students from colleges of B.V.M, GCET, ISTAR, SVIT (Vasad) and DDIT (Nadiad) were also present.
