Industry
Institution Interaction and Placements Cell (III P Cell) is
established with an aim of strengthening mutually beneficial
relationship with industry and institution. This cell is headed
by a full time professor with rich industrial experience. The
cell is having active support and participation of all head of
departments through faculty representatives. The principal of
the institute regularly reviews he performance of the cell and
provides leadership and direction.
The III
P Cell has
faculty
representatives
from all the departments. The cell is
actively involved in organizing activities, which are essential
and desirable to minimize the gap between need of the industry
and end product of the institute. The
students' representatives
of the cell actively participate in establish quick and
effective communication with students and support in organizing
campus interview as volunteers. The cell is being guided and
supported by III P Cell advisory
committee comprising of
leading academicians and management / technical experts from
industries.
We
believe in developing professional relationship with industries
and industries association by undertaking industry sponsored
projects for students, organizing expert lectures from technical
experts from industries and arranging interactions of our
faculty with industries to understand their problems and
identify appropriate solutions jointly.
III P Cell
Activities
Major activities of the cell are:
§
Facilitates student
visits to industries and industrial training under the guidance
of respective head of department by departmental faculty representatives
of the cell.
§ Interaction with
industries and other leading academic institutes to identify
academicians and management / technical experts from
industries with a willingness to support the institute.
§
Encourage interactions
with other institutions and industries through mutually agreed
programmers.
§
Keep track of placement
requirements of industries for different branches and
communicate to students accordingly.
§
Prepare students for
campus interviews with the help of departmental representatives
of the cell.
§
Organization of campus / pool campus interviews
and understand gap between expectations from industries and
communicate the same to respective head of departments and
coordinator of personality development programmes.
§
Encourage students for participation in III P
Cell Activities.
§
Preparing students for
successful career development through pre placements and post placement
training.

Campus Placements
The companies having placement requirements are
approaching us and we provide necessary support and infrastructure for conducting campus interviews. We also participate
in pool campus interviews organized by other engineering
colleges managed by
Charutar Vidya Mandal
(CVM). We also welcome industries to organize campus interview
at our institute and invite other neighboring colleges on
request by individual industry on case to case basis.

Our
Institute has established as preferred institute by performance
of our students placed in industries ever increasing interaction
with industries. Our students’ learning capabilities and desire
to take challenge is proven through their results. The
successive increase in placements figures is the result of
efforts of committed
faculty members and disciplined and intelligent students. The

Campus Interview Announcement Process
On receipt of communication from the company for the placement
requirement, the requirements are reviewed and dates for the
campus interviews are decided and communicated to students
through notice and through
forthcoming
campus interview announcement
with short job description / title, eligibility criteria and
interview procedure in website.
It is
desirable that the companies provide job announcement details in
a prescribed
job
announcement format so that
information can be provided to the students quickly.
Campus Interview procedure
The preferred campus interview
procedures are as under:

Pre-Placement Talk (PPT):
All students meeting eligibility criteria defined by the company
are invited for Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) highlighting overall
business of the company, job profile and opportunities of career
building in the recruiting company. The presentation is expected
to provide necessary inputs for taking decision in preferring the
company over other opportunities available to students.

Written tests:
On the basis of information provided during
Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) and students’
decision to go ahead with company the written tests are
conducted by the company. The invited companies are provided
facilities for written test. We have also facilities to conduct
online test.
·
Group
discussion:
The students having satisfactory performance in the written
tests are invited for group discussion.
·
Personal interviews: The
students having satisfactory performance in the written tests
and group discussion are invited for personal interviews at
campus or at companies at mutually agreed dates.
·
Declaration of Result for selected / short listed students :
It is expected that the companies communicate the result of
interview at the earliest on completion of interview formalities
in form of offer letter giving details of training, job title /
profile , location of the job, salary offered and other perks
provided , joining formalities along with company specific
special requirements. As per present policy of the institutes
the selected students having offer letter from the company are
generally not encouraged to participate in future campus
interviews. The result of campus interview is communicated to
students through notice and / or campus
interview result announcement
on the website.
Preferred
Campus Interview Schedule
We prefer placement schedule in such a way that it doest not
affect our teaching and examination schedules. We request
companies to schedule as per mutual agreed date and time. The
campus interview starts after result of third year is declared
i.e. June / July. We also welcome companies to conduct campus
interviews of students studying in third year depending on
companies’ policy of training / grooming selected students.
